PC703, 유럽정치론(Politics in Europe and Russia), 3학점

 

본 과정은 유럽정치의 이론과 실제를 조사한다. 이를 위해 본 과정은 크게 두 개로 나뉘어져 있다. 첫째, 유럽 국가들의 정부체계와 구조를 살펴보고, 둘째, 정치이념과 정치문화, 선거제도, 정당제도 등을 살펴본다.

 

This course will examine theories and practices of regional politics in European Union. To this end, it is divided into two main parts: first, the government system and structure of European countries are examined, and second, political ideology, political culture, electoral system, and party system are examined.

 

PC707, 현대비교정치이론(Contemporary Theories of Comparative Politics), 3학점

 

본 과정은 국가들 간 정치체제의 비교를 위한 다양한 방법론들과 관점들을 조사한다. 특히 비교정치연구에 중요한 이론들이라 할 수 있는 '체계이론,' '문화이론,' '발전이론,' '계급이론' 의 맥락에서 국가들 간 정치체제를 비판적으로 검토한다.

 

This course will examine various methodologies and perspectives for comparing political systems between countries. In particular, we will critically review the political systems among countries in the context of 'system theory', 'cultural theory', 'development theory', and 'class theory', which are important theories for comparative political research.

 

 

PC711, 동북아국제관계연구(Studies on East Asian International Relations), 3학점

 

본 강의는 한반도를 둘러싼 중국, 러시아, 일본 등이 만들어내는 동북아에서의 지역정치의 현황 및 문제점에 대해 살펴보고, 이를 통해 동북아 지역의 안녕과 평화를 유지하기 위해 필요한 정책적 함의를 모색한다.

 

This lecture will examine the current status and problems of regional politics in Northeast Asia created by China, Russia, and Japan surrounding the Korean Peninsula, and seek policy implications necessary to maintain peace and well-being in Northeast Asia.

 

PC712, 현대국제정치경제연구(Studies on International Political Economy), 3학점

 

본 과목의 목표는 학생들이 글로벌 차원에서 정치와 경제사이의 긴장과 역동적인 상호작용을 철저하게 이해하도록 하는 있다. 본 과정은 세 부분으로 나뉘어 진다. 첫째, 글로벌정치경제의 이론적 접근 – 국가중심적 접근 및 사회중심적 접근법 - 을 다룬다. 둘째, 이런 접근법들을 무역, 투자, 금융위기, 경제발전 등에 적용한다. 셋째, 글로벌 정치경제와 관련된 문제 및 논쟁에 초점을 둔다.

 

The aim of this course is for students to gain a thorough understanding of the tensions and dynamic interactions between politics and economics in the global dimensions. It will be divided into three main sections. The first part will deal with theoretical approaches of IPE – ‘State-centered approaches’ and ‘Society-centered Approaches.’ The second part will apply these approaches to various topics such as trade, investment, financial crises and economic development, and so on. The third part will focus on the problems and debates associated with IPE.

본 과정은 정의, 민주주의, 인권 등과 같은 근현대 정치사상의 중심주제들이 어떻게 국제정치적 쟁점들과 연결되어 있는지를 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 통해 학생들은 현재 국제정치에서 발생하고 있는 다양한 이슈들을 균형 있게 바라보는 관점을 얻게 될 것이다.

 

This course is to examine how the central themes of modern and contemporary political ideas such as justice, democracy, and human rights are connected to international political issues. Through this, students will get a balanced view of various issues that are currently occurring in international politics.

 

PC722, 전쟁과평화연구(Study on War & Peace), 3학점

 

본 과정은 폭력적 분쟁의 다양한 원인들과 어떻게 그것들이 연계되어 있는지를 조사한다. 국가 및 비국가 행위자들의 역할을 포함해 장기적 무력분쟁의 다양한 맥락 및 유형을 탐구한다. 본 과정을 통해 학생들은 여러 가지 학제적인 통찰력 및 이론적 접근을 연구함으로써 분쟁의 맥락과 행위자들을 식별하고, 분쟁의 출현과 확대의 양상을 비판적으로 조사하는 능력을 배양한다.

 

This course will examine various causes of violent conflicts and how they are interlinked. Various contexts and types of protracted armed conflicts will be explored, involving the role of the state and non-state actors. Through this course, students will develop the ability to identify conflict contexts and actors, and to critically examine the patterns of conflict emergence and escalation by studying several interdisciplinary insights and theoretical approaches.

 

PC725, 중국경제사회변동연구(Study of Fluctuations of Chinese Economy and Society), 3학점

 

본 과정은 중국의 경제사회변동 과정을 조사한다. 이를 위해 본 과정은 다음과 같은 3개의 주제를 집중적으로 고찰한다. 첫째, 1949년 이후의 중국 외교경제정책에 대한 검토, 둘째, 중국 외교정책의 안보 및 경제문제 비교, 그리고 셋째, 중국과 미국, 러시아, 일본, 대만 및 한국 간의 양국 관계를 검토한다.

 

This course will investigate the economic and social changes in China. For this purpose, it focuses on the following three topics. First, the review of China's foreign economic policy after 1949, second, the comparison of security and economic problems of China's foreign policy, and third, the relationship between China and the United States, Russia, Japan, Taiwan and Korea are reviewed.

This course is designed to give students of International Relations a basic understanding of world politics in the 21st century. It analyzes the complexity of the main issues and players in the current international relations, examining each countries’ various strategies for survival and prosperity in international relations.

본 과목은 급변하는 안보상황에 맞춰 세계 각국이 자국의 국가이익을 극대화하기 위해 경제, 외교, 군사와 같은 정책적 수단들을 어떻게 활용하고 있는지를 분석한다. 한반도의 동북아에서의 지정학적 위치, 분단상황, 주변국과의 영토, 역사문제 등으로 얽힌 이해관계 등을 고려 시, 급속하게 변화하는 국제정세를 분석하는 것은 우리가 경제, 외교, 군사 부문별 대응책을 구축하는 데 있어 많은 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

 

This course will analyze how countries around the world are using policy means such as economy, diplomacy and military to maximize their national interests in line with rapidly changing security conditions. Given the geopolitical location of the Korean Peninsula in Northeast Asia, the division of the peninsula, territories with neighboring countries, and historical issues, analyzing rapidly changing international conditions will have many implications for us to build economic, diplomatic and military countermeasures.

사회과학 연구를 위한 다양한 기초개념을 익히고 연구 설계 방법을 학습한다. 연구방법론에 대한 학습을 바탕으로 연구 주제 및 연구질문 탐색, 연구가설 설정, 자료 수집 및 활용 등 사회과학 분야의 학위 및 학술 논문 작성 방법에 필요한 지식을 학습한다.

 

This course is desinged to provide knowledge about various basic concepts for social science research and research design methods. Based on learning in research methodology, students will learn the necessary knowledge for how to write academic papers in social sciences including exploration of research topics and research questions, setting of research theories, and collecting and utilizing data.

 

PC733, 방위산업정책론(Defense Industrial Policy Theories), 3학점

 

본 과정은 국가방위를 위해 군사적으로 소요되는 무기체계를 연구, 개발, 그리고 생산하는 데 종사하는 방위산업을 경험적 차원에서 연구하는 데 초점을 두고 있다. 이를 토대로 미래 안보환경 및 기술발전 속도에 탄력적으로 대처할 수 있는 바람직한 방위산업정책 방향이 무엇인지 살펴본다.

 

This course focuses on researching, developing and producing weapons systems that are militarily required for national defense at an empirical level. Based on this, we will look at the direction of the defense industrial policy that can flexibly cope with the future security environment and the pace of technological development.

본 과정은 국방정책의 수립 및 집행과정을 분석하는 데 초점을 둔다. 특히 국방정책이 수립, 집행되는 안보환경적 맥락이 무엇인지, 그리고 국방정책과정에 참여하는 대통령, 국방부, 국회, 군, 이익집단 등의 역할은 무엇인지 등에 관해 살펴본다.

This course focuses on analyzing the process of formulating and implementing defense policies. In particular, we will examine the security and environmental context in which defense policies are formulated and implemented, and the roles of the President, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Assembly, the Armed Forces, and Interest Groups participating in the defense policy process.

본 과정은 첨단 군사과학기술의 변화를 고찰한다. 이를 통해 현재 우리 군이 야전에 배치시켜 운용하고 있는 무기체계의 기술적 한계를 파악하고, 이런 취약점을 보완하는 데 필요한 능력을 갖추는 데 있어 필요한 기술들로 무엇이 있는지를 살펴본다

 

This course will examine the changes of advanced military science and technology. Through this, we will identify the technical limitations of the weapons system that our military is currently deploying and operating in the field, and look at what technologies are needed to compensate for these vulnerabilities.

현대전에서 사용되고 있는 각종 첨단 무기체계의 각종 특징과 장단점을 분석, 평가한다. 특히 각종 첨단 무기체계의 체계능력(system capability)과 체계특질(system characteristics)에 관한 총체적인 이해능력을 발전시키는 데 초점을 둔다.

 

This course will analyze and evaluate various characteristics and strengths and weaknesses of high-tech weapons systems compared to modern warfare. In particular, the focus is on developing a comprehensive understanding of ‘system capabilities’ and ‘system characteristics’ of various high-tech weapons systems.

 

 

PC741, 북한정치론(Theories of North Korea), 3학점

 

본 과정은 북한의 특수한 정치체제, 권력, 정책과정, 이데올로기 등을 비교정치이론의 분석틀에 입각해 고찰한다. 이런 분석을 토대로 현 김정은 정권의 안보 및 경제개혁 조치 등의 문제가 무엇인지 살펴보고, 이를 통해 북한이 앞으로 어떻게 변화되어 나갈 것인지를 예측해 본다.

This course will examine North Korea's special political system, power, policy process, and ideology, etc., based on the analytical framework of comparative political theory. Based on this analysis, we will look at the problems of the current Kim Jong Eun regime's security and economic reform measures, and predict how North Korea will change in the future.

 

PC751, 커뮤니케이션이론(Communication Theory), 3학점

 

언론학의 기본개념과 역사, 현대사회에서의 매스미디어의 기능, 기초적인 연구방법 등을 학습하는 기본적인 코스이다. 매스미디어의 기능과 효과에 대한 기본 개념과 이를 기초로 한 매체별 특성과 사회현상을 사회적 관점에서 접근하여 현대사회의 미디어에 대한 개괄적 이해를 목표로 한다. 커뮤니케이션 현상을 접근하는 이론적 패러다임을 이해하고, 개별적 이론들을 습득케 한다.

 

In this course, we aim to learn the basic concepts and history of journalism functions of mass media in modern society, and basic research methods. The goal of the course is to provide a general understanding of the media in modern society by approaching the basic concepts of the function and effect of mass media and the characteristics and social phenomena of each medium based on them from a social perspective. Students are expected to understand the communication phenomena and individual theories related to communication.

이 강의는 커뮤니케이션 이론과 지식연구를 위한 연구방법의 기초개념 및 과정에 대한 이해를 통해 연구논문을 작성할 수 있는 통계분석 방법의 이론과 실제를 연구한다. 커뮤니케이션학 연구방법의 본질과 연구방법의 과정과 절차, 자료의 수집방법 등을 다루고 나아가서는 수집된 자료의 분석에 필요한 통계적 방법 등을 습득한다.

 

This course is designed to present the theory and practices of methods for statistical analysis used in producing research papers through an understanding of the basic concepts and processes of research methods for communication. Students will learn the processes and procedures of data collection and analysis.

커뮤니케이션과 정치, 민주주의의 관계를 조명하고, 매스미디어의 정치적 기능 및 과정, 효과에 초점을 맞추어 강의한다. 정치권과 매스미디어의 본질적 관계를 규명하고, 미디어와 여론형성, 특히 미디어크라시를 통한 정치참여 매스미디어와 선거과정 및 투표자의 의견형성에 미치는 영향을 고찰한다.

 

This course sheds light on the relationship between communication, politics and democracy and focuses on the political functions, processes and effects of mass media. This course identifies the essential relationship between politics and mass media, and examines the media and formation of public opinion, especially the influence of political participation on mass media and election processes and voters’ opinions through mediocracy.

설득 커뮤니케이션의 사회적 및 개인적 기능과 효과 등과 그에 관한 지금까지의 여러 이론들과 연구 결과 및 연구방법 등을 학습한다. 또한 태도, 행위, 개인차 요인, 메시지 요인, 상황 등 설득관련 주요 연구대상에 대한 향후 연구 과제를 탐색하고 기존 연구의 방법론적 문제점과 개선 방향에 대해서 논의한다.

 

This course provides students with an opportunity to learn the social and personal functions and effects of persuasive communication, as well as related theories and research methods. In this course, students will also explore future research challenges on key persuasion-related research targets, such as attitudes, behaviors, individual difference factors, message factors, and situations, and discuss methodological problems and directions for improvement of existing studies.

 

PC755, 조직커뮤니케이션(Organizational Communication), 3학점

 

조직사회의 특성과 구성원의 단계와 행태의 변화는 현대사회의 구조적 변화로 연결되고 있다. 구성원의 인간적 커뮤니케이션과 그 형태와 기능을 대상으로 이론적, 실제적 과정을 통해서 커뮤니케이션 기술과 발달과정을 의사결정, 갈등, 지도력 등의 변인들을 살펴본다. 특히 커뮤니케이션의 체계이론 중 네트워크와 연계시켜 비교·검토한다.

 

Changes in the nature of organizational society and the level and behavior of members are being linked to structural changes in modern society. Through theoretical and practical processes for human communication of members and their forms and functions, this course examines variables including communication skills, decision-making processes, conflict, and leadership. In particular, this course compares and reviews communication theories in connection with the network.

 

PC756, 대인커뮤니케이션(Interpersonal Communication), 3학점

 

본 과목은 스피치 커뮤니케이션을 포함한 대인 커뮤니케이션 전반의 기초 이론을 점검하고 최근 연구경향을 소개하는 데 목적을 둔다. 보다 구체적으로는 커뮤니케이션 능력, 인간관계의 형성 발전 및 유지, 메시지 전략, 언어적 비언어적 커뮤니케이션, 문화 간 커뮤니케이션 등의 주제를 논의할 것이다. 이외에도 의사사회적 상호작용, 자기 노출, 기만, 유머 등 대인 커뮤니케이션과 관련된 다양한 토픽을 다룬다.

 

In this course, students will examine the fundamental theories of international communication, including speech communication, and are introduced to recent research trends. More specifically, topics such as communication skills, development and maintenance of human relationships, message strategies, verbal and nonverbal communication, and cross-cultural communication will be discussed. In addition, this course deals with various topics related to interpersonal communication such as pseudo-social interaction, self-exposure, deception, and humor.

 

PC757, 비판커뮤니케이션(Critical Theories of Communication), 3학점

 

이 과목의 목적은 현대사회 커뮤니케이션을 비판적으로 이해, 설명하는 이론과 개념들을 학습하고, 이를 한국사회의 맥락에서 새롭게 성찰하는 훈련을 하는 데 있다. 강의는 교수의 주제강의와 질의응답 그리고 인터넷 공간에서 주제토론으로 구성된다. 수강생들은 단순히 외국의 이론과 개념을 이해하기보다는 한국사회의 매스커뮤니케이션 현상에 대한 비판적 이해를 높이기 위한 독서와 사고의 훈련을 받도록 한다.

 

The purpose of this course is to discuss theories and concepts for the critical understanding and explanation of modern social communication, and to allow reflection on it anew in the context of Korean society. Course consists of a instructor’s topical lectures, question-and answer sessions, and a topic discussion in the online space. Rather than simply understanding foreign theories and concepts, students should be trained in reading and thinking to enhance their critical understanding of mass communication phenomena in Korean society.

 

 

 

PC758, 미디어사회심리학(Media Social Psychology), 3학점

 

이 과목은 미디어의 이용 그리고 미디어에 대한 반응과 관련된 심리이론들을 소개한다. TV, 인터넷, 스마트폰 등 매체의 다양한 특성들이 미디어효과 또는 미디어의 효과적 이용에 어떻게 영향 미치는 지를 심리적 측면에서 논의한다. 이 과목은 기존 미디어 그리고 스마트폰 등 뉴미디어에 대한 이해를 높이고 아울러 미디어를 이용하는 수용자들에 대한 이해를 돕는다. 미디어 사용의 심리적 측면을 이해하기 위해 학생들은 자신과 타인의 미디어의 사용 행위를 관찰하고 분석한다.

 

This course introduces psychological theories related to the use of media and responses to media. Psychological aspects of how various characteristics of media such as TVs, the Internet, and smartphones affect media or the effective use of media are discussed. This course enhances students’ understanding legacy media and mobile platforms, and assists in an understanding of media users. To understand the psychological aspects of media use, students will observe and analyze the use of media by themselves and with others.

현대사회에 있어 광고는 새로운 상품을 소비자와 연결시켜주는 역할을 담당한다. 이 과목은 광고에 대한 다양한 이론들을 탐색하고 광고들을 분석함으로써 현대사회에서 광고가 갖는 사회경제적 함의를 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 설득효과와 태도변용 이론을 중심으로 검토한다.

 

In modern society, advertising plays a role in connecting new products to consumers. This course aims to discuss the socioeconomic implications of advertising in modern society by exploring various theories related to advertising. In particular, this course focuses on persuasive effects and theory of attitude change.

현대사회에서 중요성이 높아져 가고 있는 PR에 대한 전반적인 이해와 기본요소들을 중점적으로 강의한다. 광고와 PR의 기본적인 차이점을 분명히 이해시키고 특히 일반적인 홍보 보다 한층 넓고 다양한 Public Relations에 대한 올바른 개념을 정립한다. PR분야 연구에 당면한 다양한 주제를 토론하고 연구하는 과목으로써 PR영역의 실무적인 자료와 체계적인 사례분석, 다양한 이론적 시각 등을 심층적으로 다룬다.

 

This course focuses on the overall understanding of PR and basic factors that are increasing in importance in modern society. The course helps students understand the fundamental differences between advertising and PR and establish the right concepts for a wider and wider variety of public relations, especially other than general public relations. This course discusses the various topics facing research in the PR field and deals in depth with practical data in the PR domain, systematic case analysis, and various theoretical perspectives.

이 수업의 목표는 커뮤니케이션 분야의 최신 개념, 이론, 접근방법, 방법론 등을 소개함으로써 변화하는 커뮤니케이션과 미디어 현실을 이론적으로 포착하고 그에 대한 새로운 연구 프로그램을 모색하는 데 있다. 수업의 구체적 내용은 담당 교수의 재량에 따라 정한다.

 

The goal of this course is to theoretically capture changing communication and media realities and explore new research programs by introducing the latest concepts, theories, approaches, and methodologies in the filed of communication. 정치홍보의 원리와 실무에 필요한 지식들을 습득하게 하고, 선거과정에 대한 이해와 더불어 올바르고 효과적인 전략선택을 하는 능력을 배양하도록 하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 강좌에서는 주로 매스커뮤니케이션에 대한 일반론적인 이해, 홍보의 효과와 전략, 미디어의 선택과 그 변화양상, 선거과정에 대한 전반적인 이해 등을 중심으로 매스컴과 정치의 결합이 시대적, 공간적으로 어떤 양상으로 나타나고 변해 가는가를 중심적으로 취급한다.

 

The purpose of this course is to help students acquire the knowledge necessary for the principles and practices of political promotion and to develop the ability to make correct and effective strategic choices along with an understanding of the election process. This course focuses mainly on the general understanding of mass communication, the effect and strategy of publicity, the choice of media and its changing patterns, and the overall understanding of the electoral process.

 

PC763, 쟁점및위기관리론(Crisis Management), 3학점

 

위기관리PR의 개념을 명확히 정립하고 위기관리PR의 기획과 조사, 실행, 평가단계의 이론과 방법론을 익힘으로써 실제 위기관리PR을 단계별로 수행할 수 있는 능력을 배양하고자 한다. 이를 통해 언론관계 대응능력 차원에서 벗어나 통합적인 위기관리PR을 수행하고 기업의 위기상황에 보다 전략적이며 주도적으로 대응할 수 있도록 하는 것이 본 수업의 목표이다.

 

This course helps students learn the concept of crisis management PR and the theory and methodology of crisis management in the planning, investigation, implementation, and evaluation stages of PR. This course is designed to develop students’ capability to perform actual crisis management PR step by step. Through this, the goal of this course is to help students perform integrated crisis management PR and to be more strategic and proactive in responding to corporate crises.

본 강좌는 인간커뮤니케이션과 사회 전반적인 변화의 원동력이 되고 있는 뉴미디어의 기술적 개요와 특성을 섭렵하고 이들이 인간 문명에 미칠 영향과 함의를 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해 뉴미디어의 직접적 동인이 되는 디지털 혁명, 커뮤니케이션 채널, 네트워크, 전송방식의 변화, 다양한 개별 뉴미디어들을 개괄하고 이런 뉴미디어들이 가져올 인간커뮤니케이션의 변화와 사회적 함의를 살펴본다.

 

In this course, we aim to master the technical overview and characteristics of new media, which are driving human communication and overall change in society, and examine the impact and implications of new media on human civilization. To this end, this course will discuss the digital revolution, communication channels, networks, changes in transmission methods, and various individual new media, which are the direct drivers of new media, and examine the changes and social implications of human communication.

 

PC765, 언론윤리법제론(Studies in Media Ethics and Law), 3학점

 

신문, 방송, 뉴미디어에 관한 법적 문제를 중심으로 사회과학적 시각에서 언론의 자유와 책임을 다룬다. 언론법의 형성과 변천은 그 당시 언론을 둘러싼 정치 세력 간 갈등과 화해를 반영하고 있다. 그리고 현대 과학기술 혁명의 결과, 신문, 방송, 뉴미디어의 영역구분이 없어지고 법적인 경계가 희미해지면서 법제간 융합의 문제가 새롭게 제기되고 있다. 이러한 문제와 함께 탈규제의 신보수주의적 경향이 언론법제에 미치는 영향도 살펴본다.

 

This course deals with freedom of speech and responsibility from a social scientific perspective, focusing on legal issues regarding newspapers, broadcasting, and new media. The formation and transformation of media law reflects conflicts and reconciliation between political forces surrounding the media at a given time. As a result of the modern scientific and technological revolution, the issue of inter-legal convergence is emerging as the distinctions among newspapers, broadcasting, and new media have been eliminated and legal boundaries have faded. Along with these issues, this course will also looks at the effects of neo-conservative trends in deregulation on media legislation.

이 강의는 문자 텍스트와는 다른 영상 텍스트의 분석을 그 대상으로 하여 영상 텍스트의 구성요소와 분석방법 등을 배운다. 영상 커뮤니케이션은 우선 구조주의 언어학적 모델과 문학이론 영화이론 등을 그 이론적 배경으로 살펴보고, 신문 사진이나 광고텍스트, TV드라마, 영화 등 영상으로 이루어져 있는 다양한 텍스트를 직접 분석해 본다. 영상 텍스트는 언어 텍스트만으로 이루어진 것보다 복잡하고 다양한 해석의 가능성을 갖고 있기 때문에 여러 가지 시각에서 분석을 수행하는 것이 필요하다.

 

This course helps students understand the components and methods of the analysis of image text, which are different from text. Visual communication first looks at structuralist linguistic models, literature theory, and film theory as its theoretical background and analyzes various texts composed of newspaper photos advertisement text, TV dramas, and moves. The course is necessary to perform analysis from multiple perspectives because the visual test is more complex and has more potential for various interpretations than the language text alone.

본 수업은 미디어 기업에 대한 이해를 목적으로 경영학의 기본적 이론과 개념들을 학습하여 미디어 경영인으로서 갖춰야 하는 비판적 경영의 원칙을 익히는 것을 목표로 한다. 미디어 기업은 급변하는 미디어 시장에 적응해가는 것이 당면 과제이고, 디지털 기술로 인하여 과거와는 매우 다른 이슈들에 직면해있다. 이러한 새로운 환경에 맞는 조직의 의사결정, 인사, 재무, 마케팅, 미디어 상품 등에 대한 체계적인 학습을 한 학기 동안 해나간다.

 

This course help students learn the principles of critical management that media managers must establish by learning basic theories and concepts of business administration to understand media companies. The challenge for media companies is to adapt to the rapidly changing media market, and digital technology is causing media companies to face very different issues than in the past. This course provides a semester of systematic learning of organizational decisions, personnel, finance, marketing, and media products that fit this new environment.

본 과목은 학생들에게 정치적 결정이 왜, 어떻게 내려지는지, 그리고 정부가 어떻게 운영되는지를 이해시키는 데 목표를 두고 있다. 특히 정부가 상충하는 공공목표를 달성하기 위해 어떻게 정책을 개발하고 집행하는지를 고찰한다. 본 과정을 통해 학생들은 입법 및 정부시스템이 어떻게 작동하는지를 발전시키고, 정책결정과 집행과정을 공부함으로써 글로벌과 지역사이의 연관성을 평가할 수 있을 것이다.

 

This course aims to provide students to understand why & how political decisions are made, how governments work. In particular, it investigates how governments develop and implement policies to achieve competing public goals. Through this course, students would develop how legislative and government systems work, and appreciate the connection between the global and local through studying policy-making and implementation process.

PC773, 외교정책분석론(Theories of Foreign Policy Analysis), 3학점

 

본 과목은 외교정책결정의 과정, 인과, 그리고 결과를 이해하는 데 목표를 둔다. 본 과정은 세 부분으로 나뉘어진다. 첫째, 외교정책분석의 역사적 발전을 다룬다. 둘째, 현실주의, 자유주의 및 제도주의, 인식론적 접근 등을 포함하는 현 외교정책분석의 이론적 접근을 조사한다. 셋째, 현 외교정책분석에 있어서의 문제 및 논쟁을 다룬다.

 

This course aims to understand the process, cause & effect, and outcome of foreign policy-making. It is divided into three main sections. The first part will deal with historical development of Foreign Policy Analysis (FPA). The second part will investigate current theoretical approaches to FPA, including realism, liberalism and institutionalism, cognitive approaches, etc.. The third part will deal with problems and debates in contemporary FPA.

This course provides students with a theoretical and empirical understanding of the international security environment of the post-Cold War era. For this, this course will explore the origins of conflicts and peace, the emergence of new security threats and the role of many different agencies involved in conflict prevention.

This course will provide students with a set of analytical tools for understanding contemporary international affairs by showing how geopolitical structures (context) provides opportunities and limits upon the actions of geopolitical agents (countries, national groups, individuals, etc).

디지털 플랫폼을 통해 확산되는 뉴스의 기능·역할·가치, 전통 뉴스 매체와 디지털 뉴스 매체의 차이, 플랫폼의 역할과 위상, 모바일 중심의 뉴스 유통과 소비 방식 등 디지털 뉴스생태계를 둘러싼 다양한 쟁점들을 살펴보며 디지털 뉴스 미디어 지형을 진단하고 저널리즘의 미래 생태계에 대해 논의한다.

 

This course reviews the digital media landscape and discusses the future ecosystem of journalism. We will examine various issues surrounding the digital news ecosystem such as the functions, roles and values of new distributed by digital platforms, differences between traditional news media and digital news media, and mobile-centric ways of distributing and consuming news.

오프라인 및 온라인 언론 홍보 전략들을 탐구한다. 효과적인 언론 홍보 기획을 위해 필요한 뉴스 미디어 전반에 대한 이해(전통 및 새로운 형태의 뉴스 생산 및 유통 방식, 뉴스 미디어 조직 및 생산자, 뉴스 소비자의 이용행태 등)를 돕는다. 다양한 사례 검토를 통해 효과적인 대언론 홍보 전략, 잘못된 보도 등에 대한 언론사 대응 전략 등을 논의한다.

 

In this course, students will explore offline and online news promotion strategies. The course provides a general understanding of news media—the traditional and new forms of news production and distribution, news media organizations and producers, and news consumer behavior that are necessary for planning effective media publicity. Through various case reviews, students will discuss effective media promotion in general and strategies to respond to false news coverage by news media organizations.
